Sticky Note
Category: Annotation
Overview
Sticky Notes are free-floating notes you place on the canvas to leave context for the next editor — design rationale, ownership, section headers. They are not part of the execution path, have no input or output ports, and never block publish.
Notes are created via the canvas toolbar (📝 button), not the node palette. Double-click a note to edit it; the body uses a rich-text editor with bold/italic, headings, ordered and unordered lists, and links. A hover/select toolbar exposes the colour swatches, font-size presets, and a delete button.
When to use
- Group a complex section (“VIP escalation flow — owned by the Care team”).
- Document why a non-obvious branch exists.
- Stage design ideas during a workshop without polluting the executable graph.
Configuration
Sticky Notes are edited inline on the canvas, not via the configuration drawer.
Content
Rich text body authored in place. Supports headings (H1–H3), bold, italic, bullet lists, ordered lists, and links.
Colour
Six brand-aligned palettes: gold, azure, teal, green, red, purple. Pick one from the hover/select toolbar at the top of the note. The chosen palette is mirrored in dark mode with adjusted backgrounds for legibility.
Font size
Four presets: S / M / L / XL (12 / 14 / 17 / 21 px). Picked from the toolbar; persisted per note.
Size
Drag the resize handle in the bottom-right corner. Minimum 180 × 120 px. The dimensions persist with the note.
Limits & validation
- Skipped by every publish validator rule — never blocks publish.
- Rendered below real flow nodes in z-order so dragging or wiring is never obstructed.
- Sticky Notes are not draggable from the node palette — use the canvas toolbar’s 📝 button instead.
